Ok. This is pretty bizarre. The system unresponsiveness issue happened again. This time, I ssh'ed in and noticed that Google Chrome was using 105% of CPU and the load was shooting up. Did a 'killall chrome' and the load went down to normal. Looks like Chrome has some issues running on Ubuntu Lin

i could move the mouse around but the mouse clicks were not registering. using ssh, logged in (took a little while) and noticed that the load was 12 or higher. running 'top', i saw a couple ibus related processes that were taking up gigabytes of ram. indeed, even though i only had chrome and a coup
