/etc/resolv.conf is created during the installation of systemd. There
should be one created.
For example, the stock Lubuntu 20.04 doesn't install resolvconf, and
resolv.conf is not a symlink to any file.

I just completed a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 with a brand new Asus
Xonar DGX. I can confirm the bug exists and also that the alsamixer

I just noticed today that on my Ubuntu 16.10 machine the problem doesn't
exist... Might try installing the pre-release of 16.04.2 which has
kernel 4.8 to see if that makes any difference. Or maybe installing the
network manager from 16.10.

I've had this start-up crash since upgrading to 16.04 LTS. Finally
purged tracker-extract and this seems not to cause problems. Indexer
already crashed on start-up every time so file search was useless anyway
(find/grep in a terminal has always been reliable).

2014. Lubuntu 14.10 beta is also affected, so this seems common to bluez

be working properly, at least for BT audio. Photo viewing is problematic
but I'm suspecting obex-data-server or Nautilus rather than bluez.

Bluetooth unable to receive files from phone

This same bluez version works with Ubuntu 14.10 current-daily-amd64 as
of 20 September. Bluez pairs, connects and is able to stream a2dp stereo
audio to my BT headset. This leads me to believe that the issues with
Bluetooth audio streaming aren't with bluez - perhaps PulseAudio or
another package.
