I also had this problem. Booting with the nouveau.config=NvMXMDCB=0
parameter had no effect. It all started with Ubuntu 24.10. I rolled back
to Ubuntu 24.04.1, but after upgrading to 24.04.2, the problem returned.

description in the bug, and manpage, I see mention on a cache db.
Do the changes here in this bug invalidate existing cache db files? I
