Okay, verification performed on a Pi 5 8GB according to the test plan.
System status was degraded on initial boot, and upgrading to the
proposed ubuntu-desktop-minimal package indicated the expected packages
could be autoremoved, which they then were. After reboot, system status
was "running".

I actually bought a new Laptop and installed NixOS on the old one: NixOS with
Kernel 6.12 has the same issue. So its clearly within the Linux Kernel.
I dont want to install Ubuntu 24 again, so may I ask if its sufficient
to start an Ubuntu24 LiveCD and collect kernel logs with that? I
