I also get this message, I did try to reboot and with reboot and it does
inhibit and provide a reason but almost followed systemctrl reboot.
My system took slightly longer than 5 mins to continue, but thankfully
it did :-)

plug them, the system doesn't detect that they've been re-plugged. My
solution so far has been to kill the pulseaudio process and to force
alsa to reload manually in order to have my headphones
I experienced this issue in Linux Mint 20.03 (Cinnamon) and in Debian
Buster (KDE) as well.

I removed xdg-desktop-portal because I use Xorg, don't use any snaps or
flatpaks and GTK file open dialog is better than portal one.
But GTK file open dialog makes Chrome/Brave freeze after closing it.
Steps to reproduce:

I am facing a similar problem after upgrading my Laptop from 21.10 to
22.04. I lost Wifi during the upgrade process, which also meant that
refreshing the snap packages failed. But I was unable to connect to my
Wifi again, even after reboot. I have a Unifi network set up for WPA
enterprise, using a

because it will just be gray on your monitor (i checked the screenshot

@Damon Does not sound like a pleasant experience.
The issue is probably related to Wayland and Nvidia drivers then.
Doesn't look to good for Ubuntu if prospect users try the live system
and one of the first experiences that they make is a corrupted screen.
