I am not sure but it is possible that all the trouble I see in modern
distributions are caused by switch OPENSSL_TLS_SECURITY_LEVEL=2 in
OpenSSL lib. I cannot use certificate with weak key (1024 bits is weak
now), I cannot connect to clients with TLSv1.0 and TLSv1.1, etc.

I just did a:
sudo update-manager -d
On a very normal 21.10 system, and received the same message. What is a
little shocking is that the terminal portion of the window opens,
*asking* you to reboot, and just sits there for 3, 4, 5 minutes at that
message. I fear many users today and in the week
Public bug reported:
The display is dimming after a few seconds of "inactivity" despite
turning off the setting to dim the display. This seems to occur on any
power setting and a reboot did not solve the problem. This makes
activities such as reading difficult as the display becomes harder to
read
I find this solution:
0) sudo apt install python3-gi gir1.2-gtk-3.0 gir1.2-webkit2-4.0 &&
pip3 install https://github.com/dlenski/gp-saml-gui/archive/master.zip
1) Create ~/ssl.conf
openssl_conf = openssl_init
[openssl_init]
ssl_conf = ssl_sect
[ssl_sect]
system_default = system_defaul
Workaround... using sudo pkexec /usr/bin/grub-customizer or pkexec
/usr/bin/grub-customizer allows the command to run after correct
password is entered

@tallagrand, the certificate looks correct. I think your issue might be
with the smartcard support, so either in opensc or openvpn.
Either way, could you open a new issue? This is not the same problem as
OP.
