I have tried modifications to DKMS, modprobe.d, pulseaudio and alsa but

This became an issue in Fedora 33 when they went to systemd-resolved.
They have just packaged and updated to strongsWan 5.9.2 and I can
confirm it resolves this issue without workarounds.

I have tried cables, drivers, upgrades --no matter what I do I cannot
get Ubuntu to recognize that my 32" UHD LG display supports 2560x1440. I
can work around it with `cvt` and `xrandr` but this is tedious and is
not saved across sessions, and xorg.conf is no longer a possibil

That's because that entry is controlled by cups. The
other one isn't. As I said, cups is not involved in
producing the duplicate entry. File a bug against GTK.
systemctl start cups-b
"systemctl stop cups" removes the wrong entry -- the one that actually

Interestingly, "systemctl start cups" does not restore the printer.
Looks like I will have to reboot now to restore printing.

The print dialog box is generated GTK. The Printers system setup
dialog is probably generated by Qt.
Stop cups:
systemctl stop cups
Which entry remains in the GTK print dialog box?
I would guess - the first one. Therefore cups is not involved
in its display.

Talked to Viktor - he didn't think there's much indication that the skewed
interface name has any effect. Especially since the interface gets a LL address

Is it possible this bug returned in ubuntu 21.04 - hirsute? see my
systemd-shutdown in the txt file attached. ..or is a workaround possible
for this?
I notice this behavior when i shutdown and reboot. the laptop needs
almost no time to shutdown, and then for 20 maybe 30 seconds the
plymouth screen
