To test the slight possibility that builds with the current toolchain
might be at fault, I rebuilt mesa 20.03.4 against current
release+proposed pockets and downgraded mesa to the result.
Ubiquity/greeter does not crash with that combination.

Seems that the steps to fixing this issue are:
1) Turn on bluetooth in GNOME (has no effect)
2) Then: sudo systemctl restart bluetooth
And then it works
