Those log files are from kernel 5.4.0; I had selected that kernel
manually in grub a while ago and didn't remember. Anyways, I just tested
this stuff again running the current 20.10 kernel (5.8.0-18-generic),

gnome-calc , this will trigger high usage in ibus-daemon, ibus-x11 and
