Got sound working folks. See the repository for the new updated install
script (it's at the top of the description).
Only things not working perfectly now are Sleep (my script makes it so

I have loaded a generic esc / p-r driver for the Epson WF-3520 which first
worked well and then for no apparent reason, the system malfunctioned. Since

I am using Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, systemd version 232-21ubuntu2.
I found that .coop domain nomes are not being resolved. If I switch to
another DNS server (instead of 127.0.0.53, which is the current default
in 17.04), then .coop domains are resolved:
$ nslookup
> www.somenergi
This is the output of "systemd-resolve --status":
$ sudo systemd-resolve --status
Global
DNSSEC NTA: 10.in-addr.arpa

In my case the LUKS stuff was unrelated and I was experiencing shutdown
hangs because I had daemonizing processes started by /etc/rc.local:

I managed to discover that by pre-killing a bunch of processes before
shutting down, which even
