Right, as I said on IRC I'm more than happy to just entirely drop the
static sleep in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/init, as this is a completely
broken/useless concept. Using it in the wait-for-root call in /usr/share
/initramfs-tools/scripts/local similar to the wait-for-root call in
/usr/share/init

Ran into this problem at a patients house today. I am running Ubuntu
16.04 and usually connect through my cell phone as a mobile hotspot, but
there was no cell service at the location I went to. The patient has
wifi in her house, but it only works with Windows 10 with WPS button on
the router. E
Same here, but only on the primary monitor which is connected via
displayport. Displaylink attached monitors works fine (intel onboard)

APT is using dpkg's --recursive option with a temporary directory since
recently if it has to touch >5 packages to avoid producing too long
commandlines for the kernel (yes, that is a thing… although unlikely it
does happen in big upgrades). Seems like this interface in dpkg does
support only *.deb
