FYI, fcitx uses dbus-daemon (as opposed to ibus-daemon, which does not)
and so apparmor dbus mediation can be used with 'dbus bus=fcitx,'. As
such, im-config does not need an update for fcitx.

I also tried 14.04.2, which is kernel 3.16.0-30, and that also detected

Unfortunately the phone ran out of battery and shut down while I was
sleeping (it happens sometimes) so today initctl list has forgotten about
that specific instance (if I get things right).

Even in the case the bug gets fixed on the server, we'll still need the
client side to inform the server on the locale being used. Re-adding
ubuntuone-credentials to the bug, since it has to be changed in any
case.

With the latest rc-proposed 341 unity8 is at a steady 2.9% with the
screen off and plugged into laptop over usb.
