After almost a month heavy use of the phone, i found that the dialer is

I have installed the unity8-desktop-session-mir on a fully upgraded
16.04. When I select the Unity8 session, type in the password and press
Enter, the screen goes black and nothing happens. I tried to wait a
minute, but nothing changed (there no mouse cursor either), so I have

environment becomes unusable; you can only move the mouse cursor. If you
switch to another virtual console and restart the lightdm service from
there, you come back to the login screen and you don't have to reboot.

This morning, synaptic offered 2 candidates after clicking on Mark All
Upgrades.
Both were for initramfs.
After the upgrades were completed, I logged out of the admin account and
into the regular user account.
