I was getting this same thing with a Microsoft Designer Mouse but after
running `bluez-simple-agent` and using pin the mouse pairs and the
'New Device Setup' says "Succesfully set up device 'Designer Mouse'" but
it doesn't work. In the Bluetooth devices it says 'Paired Yes' but the
'switch' on
tvoss' branch is off topic, and undesirable as mentioned in the MP.
Also, I already added QML_NO_TOUCH_COMPRESSION=1 to the whole ubuntu
touch image a couple of months ago. Not sure why it would be missing
anywhere now...

It seem that when you plug the USBStreamer B for the first time the
asound.state does not have any channel mapping so it creates one for the
first time and read it the next time when the computer boot and alsa
start.
I erase the information of USBStreamer on asound
stijn, let an apples-to-apples comparison be made. Hence, could you
please attach one document that had the kerning issue in Trusty?
Then, if you boot into the daily environment does it still have the
kerning issue?

I'm seeing a similar behavior after the upgrade to 3.19.0-32-generic
#37~14.04.1-Ubuntu on both a Dell 2570 and 8570 Notebook. Logitech
Keyboard works fine in grub, but password entry for disk encryption does
no longer works. Have to use the notebook keyboard for this.

Touchscreen in
It's an ongoing problem with rsync that's been around for about 10 years
or so.
Compressed files transferred with -z fail on occasion - though once you find a
file that fails, that file will always fail
I even use --skip-compress=bz2 but that doesn't work either
Last time I got it was ... today.

Of course, you have to be able to use both the devices!
The point here is *temporarily* disabling one, i.e. disable mouse while
you're dragging with the touch, for instance.
You can still use touch, then mouse, then touch again.
