Just in case someone stumbles on this, i now think that i have a better
solution, thanks to Reddit user /u/solen-skiner.
You just have to
1) comment out the line load-module module-suspend-on-idle on
/etc/pulse/default.pa
and
2) use exit-idle-time = -1 on /etc/pulse/daemon.conf

WSJT-X v1.5.0 works fine here,no problems at all.
I suggest that WSJT-X v1.5.0 is included in the official repos.
