This fixed the problem for me too, as wifi is stable using wicd it definitely
seems to be a NetworkManager problem.

I was able to update the BIOS (1.31 now) and also updated Ubuntu to 15.04.

sorry it was a miss click :S my bad also after updateing to 15.04 from
14.02.2 did a fresh install was able to log in and use the computer but the
open source drivers are not working as supposed to so was in need to
install the close source one,,, dejadup crash the system and log you out
XD

The problem is actually the mounting of /home not root. As you can see
from the fstab they are identical except for the subvol= parameter.
Note that I also tried removing the device= bits, updating the initramfs
and trying again. It made no difference.
