Hi Everyone!
It's been a minute since the last time I posted to this list about
Gosling (December, 2021 what the actual heck:
https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2021-December/014684.html
). Well, since then I have been quite busy leading the applications team
and shipping browsers
Hi everyone,
With the 12.0 release almost out the door, the applications team will no longer be pushing commits to our
git.torproject.org (gitolite) repos. All future code updates will only be pushed to our various gitlab.torproject.org
(Gitlab) repos.

So the purpose of tor-browser-build is to two-fold:
1. Providing a system which can reproducibly build tor-browser for all of our platforms, this
necessitates ensuring every builder is building using the same toolchain, libs, dependencies, etc
(which does necessitate downloading and validating
rible idea that's fine too. :)

Hi tor-dev,
As part of my work with Blueprint for Free Speech, I recently gave a
short presentation during the 2021 state-of-the-onion where we announced

Hi Everyone,
As part of our Sponsor 30 work, we are looking to improve the new
about:torconnect experience by adding automatic tor settings
configuration for censorship circumvention.
This document outlines and discusses the *technical* challenges

Hi Everyone,
The current UX situation around HTTPS-enabled onionsites is not the
best: Tor Browser shows security warning splash screens and icons in
scenarios that do not warrant them. On top of that, the only way for
your onion site to not show these warnings is by getting an EV cert
which is on
I think a 'restart tor daemon' (with user-friendly language) in
about:preferences#tor under 'Advanced' could be a potentially useful
addition.

Hey Sarpedon,
The tor-browser-build project (
https://gitweb.torproject.org/builders/tor-browser-build.git/ ) can be
used to build tor-browser for all the various environments, and you can
updated the /projects/firefox/config file to point to your own git repo
and commit for development. Unfortuna
Yeah same, this convo went from 'wow an interesting discussion about
allocators' to 'fuck you Tom' real quick and without provocation.
From a human standpoint, maybe try and be your best self? Or (if you
prefer) from a practical standpoint, maybe berating on one of the devs
that would be reviewing
t and eliminate the double
session.
I hope that clears things up.
