[tor-dev] SHA-3 isn't looking so hot to me

to be faster than SHA-256 in software. Also it makes sense to implement a single hash core rather than two (SHA-256 and SHA-512 are fundamentally different). This is also in the standards, see: http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/drafts/fips180-4/Draft-FIPS180-4_Feb2011.
