Basically you want to upload everything to your web hosting account.
Then keep a copy of the entire config directory on your local Linux
machine. Use the conf.pl utility to generate an appropriate config.

Most probably your message list was out of date and the message has been
moved away or deleted (perhaps by another program accessing the same
mailbox).

I would recommend using fail2ban to protect the underlying SMTP and IMAP
services rather than SquirrelMail, as it is just a client for those
services. You want to protect the services themselves. YMMV, of course.

Heh, I'd say you've misconfigured your SMTP server. Go back into conf.pl
and see what you've got it set to. Make sure it's running! (telnet

So, you'll either have to ignore the messages already in the mbox, or find
a way to inject them into the Cyrus mail system, possibly us
o pass the buck like this, but it really sounds like you didn't
remove the quota restriction from this account properly. SquirrelMail
only reports what the IMAP server tells it, and apparently the IMAP server
is telling you you're out of quota.
