I installed SquirrelMail (squirrelmail-20190304_0200-SVN.stable) in Debian 9.8
and changed only the necessary options to have it logging into my IMAP server
successfully.
The problem is that utf-8 encoded emails are not being converted into
iso-8859-1 when viewing the email body. The email index p

Just switched out SM 1.4.0 to 20030626_1641-CVS. I had a user complain about this
feature last week telling me he uses it all the time and loved it; it's still missing
from the 1.4.x series.
I believe it was last in ./functions/mime.php in 1.2.11

I had this *exact* problem with 1.4.0 on my system. This error is caused by the filter
plugin. Options I first used was to turn off the plugin (big mistake when you receive
hundreds of e-mails every day). Upgrade to latest CVS, the 1.4.1 branch fixed this bug.

I have some public foldern on cyrus (user.forall and user.lists), the acl's are right.
In KMail and other MUA's the folders are available but SM dont show them. I have no
idea where the problem is.
