Has anyone found a fix for the new Avelsieve
version? It seems like there is a php related error with the new rule creation
which applies to all messages. It just simply dies on my machine anyway, whereas
other methods of rule creation seem to work. Unfortunately the older versions
don't see
information for SM is lost and the user is forced to log back in again. This
is with SM 1.2.8, and the latest downloadable plugin.

I've honestly never used postfix with Courier, only Cyrus. However I have
used both Exim and Qmail with Courier sucessfully, so I know both work quite
well.

Alan,
We've been plagued with these bugs for months over the course of several
SM versions on several machines. If you find an answer, I'd love to hear it.

Could be a problem with the authentication mechanism. Is courier configured

If you cannot telnet to it on port 143 then it is NOT running, all you did
was execute the daemon manually.

It opens one of my mailboxes with over 50k messages in just under 20
seconds. The difference of course is hardware, I am using mid level Dell
server class machines vs. low end desktops such as the two cases listed
below. You need a high end disk system and lots of memory to do this right

This is definitly an apache issue, not SM. If I were you I would verify you
are using a current version, and consider moving to RH 9, 8 was never very
stable for me.

an IMAP mailbox on the other side, not a flat UCB mbox or text file.

Verify your permissions settings, the web server should have read/write
permissions to some of those files by default.
