Solved.
I could fix it the next way:
1.- Get Last stable release of
squirrelmail
wget
http://squirrelmail.org/countdl.php?fileurl=http%3A%2F%2Fprdownloads.sourceforge.net%2Fsquirrelmail%2Fsquirrelmail-1.4.20.tar.gz
2.- untar it and re-tar it with appropiate name
tar -zxvf
squirrelmail-1.4.20.ta

problem of not opening folders so I think I'll stop installing stuff for a
bit.

the problem appears to be the filters plugin with SquirrelMail/1.5.2 [SVN]
. I appreciate that plugin problems should properly be addressed to the
writer of the plugin but for some reason I can't find who's it is, there
seems to be no README and I have no idea where it came from because it
doesn't

I'm interested in a bunch of the plugins that are on the plugin page.
Is it safe to assume that if I don't see the plugin listed in the
plugin squirrelmail directory of the latest version that it's not
included, and to enable that functionality I need to actually download
the plugin?
