I ran the squirrelmail configure script again and saw that "Allow
server thread sort" and "Allow server-side sorting" were set to
"false". I set them to "true" and now it works fine!

This isn't an error in Squirrelmail; it is merely reporting the error it
received from your IMAP server. The problem is that your IMAP server
won't let SquirrelMail create a Sent folder.

Heh, I hate to tell you this, but you didn't need it. SquirrelMail does
not use PHP's IMAP routines. We rolled our own.
