If I may toot my own horn a little... I posted this to the courier-imap
list awhile ago. This is how I got Courier/postfix/MySQL working with

it's trying to go to? The directories are created and
receiving mail...

This is a problem with your IMAP server. Try checking for any error
messages that might be useful in your logs. (Usually in /var/log/)
