Sounds like you have told SM that it is supported. config/conf.pl,

this is an issue with Squirrelmail or with Courier IMAP. I hope
somebody can shed some light on it. We are using courier-imap 4.1.1,
with squirrelmail 1.4.6.

Thanks that sounds like what I want to do... using SquirrelMail to
create the folders and build the sorting rules is perfect. I'll
check that out.

cyrus imap. Sieve actually handles sorting as the message is delivered
to you local delivery agent. SM has good plugins to support setting up
sieve filters
On one machine I have Lniux/Fedora Core 3 running apache 2.0 ,
squirrelmail 1.4.3a-6, sendmail and procmail.
On various other PCs I have thunderbird e-mail clients connecting to
that first machine via IMAP, or connecting to it via http(s) using
squirrelmail
