If I create another folder, and leave it where squirrelmail can access, it
still has to upload the file when using squirrelmail I think.
uh, sounds like you're using UW-IMAP (mbox)... things will get
tremendously faster if you switch to a 'real' IMAP server using maildir
format

Retrievingis very slow after allowing the messages accumalate in the
folders.
