So this IS firstly an issue of your provider. No one other knows which
version with which additional feature he installed (you mention
CPanel...). As to your three point (just a rough guess...):

The three points I raised, out of them two are basically Squirrelmail
issues - specifically its features and how it works. Nothing to do with
my ISP. I also administer Unix systems and provide support to my clients
on Squirrelmail (all Webmail), just that I haven't installed
Squirrelmail (SM)

that to check webmail. I see many changes and a few issues:
- I am unable to use keyboard for marking mails. I used to mark spam
emails for deletion. Earlier I could use space bar for ticking checkbox
