ok it works! I checked the log earlier today and it made it up to 19kb. so it's definatly the right php.ini. plus i checked the symlinked php.ini in /etc/apache/conf pointed to the one i was editing. the error is hard to recreate so i'll post when i can get some info :) --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrot

I turned on mod_gzip and phpaccelerator in hopes that they might fix the timeout problems. i wasn't sure exactly what was causing them :P. The problems have existed for months and months before i ever enabled those two things. I can go ahead and disable them though until i find what's causing th

It turns out I am running 4.3.2-r4. I'm also using the squirrelmail 1.4.1 ebuild. In particular, i tried adding this to my php.ini: error_log = /var/log/apache/mod_php_log log_errors = On but i'm not seeing any changes to mod_php_log. just o make sure i created the file and chown/chmoded it to
