An update: I moved our SM installation to a brand new Sun 280, dual Sparc III processor, 4 GB RAM, doing nothing al all but SM. And I'm the only user. When I hit my inbox (and its 700 messages), I see the processor usage going up to as much as 4-5% used. I'm using a php accelerator, I've tuned
