You can't, SM is designed to be an IMAP client, which by definition requires
an IMAP mailbox on the other side, not a flat UCB mbox or text file.

so far except that How do I link the INBOX to my Mailbox in my ~/mail? I
have tried symlinking Mailbox to INBOX, but it was a no go. Any help would
