I downloaded several plugins into my squirrelmail directory which happens to be /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/. Then I used the ./conf.pl to update my config.php. The plugins I have installed are change_passwd, calendar, jsclock, compatibility, virus_scan. others were already there by default.
