In 2006 version UW developers started blocking subscriptions of noselect
folders. In UW "noselect" folders are the ones that have subfolders.

Hi folks,
I'm having a problem with folders under SM and hope someone can possibly
give me a clue. I just upgrade to 1.4.1-2 thinking that the extra
support for UW IMAP would be helpful, but it hasn't changed behavior.
My users' email files are all in ~/mail, including any additional
folders
