Hello,
I installed the Change SQL Password, Version 3.3-1.2 on my SquirrelMail
ver 1.4.9a-2 (Debian etch). I also installed the Compatibility plugin
Version 2.0.9 and put in the bit of code to make that work.
I put in both plugins in the conf script (squirrelmail-configure on
Debian).
Anyway I

What can I do? Do I have to install poppassd-ceti and courierpassd?
You need to install those packages to satisfy the dependencies.

Bonjour,
Where is the "change password" plugin?
I can read on the sqm plugin page:
Lets you change your password using PAM or Courier authentication
modules. Includes poppassd and courierpassd which do the actual password
changing.

1. check if courierpoppassd works with vpopmail. If it works - use change
password plugin.

I'm running the qmailrocks setup and I'm looking for a plugin to allow the user to
change his/her password. Anyone know what plugin to use or if there is even one
avaliable.

I did all of the above (commented out the appropriate entires in the .deny
and .allow files), restarted
You might want to take the entries out of hosts.allow and hosts.deny and
make sure the xinetd config works okay. I'm not sure, but you may have to
restart xinetd after you make the change.

I just installed the change password plugin, ran into a problem with it,
and then found that the sourceforge site's MySql server is on the fritz

Here's the setup
Redhat 7.3 with smp kernel (all up2date'd)
SM 1.2.10 (latest stable)
apach
You could try the change_passwd if you just have /etc files to worry
about, if you have PAM, or can get a working version of poppassd for
Solaris (the one in the plugin *might* work) then I'd try the Change
Password 1.4a.

while the other one mentions the pam method.
I run SM on a Unix system. Does it matter which plugin I use?
