Yes, enable auto expunge in config.php using the conf.pl configuration tool.

Thanks for making such great webmail, we use it for our users now with DBMail 2.0.4 from DBMail.Org instead of visualoffice V 4.03 from mintersoft.com, and we have more than 162,000 users and growing fast!

Like you said, it would be nice to enable/disable this (mis)feature. Also,
the "Viewing Messages: 1 to xx (xx total) now appears incorrect, because it
is still counting the hidden messages.

I've disabled auto-expunge. And since the users don't want to loose these
messages, they'll never use the expunge button, which leaves back at squ
