qmail doesn't matter here, as qmail is not an IMAP server. What IMAP
server are you using?
is this user also by chance using sqwebmail with their account?
sqwebmail automatically archives the sent folder into dated subfolders.

It is a simple question and I would like to know if someone else had this
problem.
Sometimes all the messages placed in the Sent folder of squirrelmail are
deleted automatically.
The account doesn´t have any kind of quota or something.
It is running under qmail.
