I found the the problem. I had the base URL wrong in the Squirrelmail
configuration. The reason why it worked sometimes is because I had a
php script redirecting to the correct base URL in the wrong base URL.
This last email you sent, gave me a light bulb thanks alot!

I'm already trying with a separate install of SquirrelMail 1.4.10a
with no plugins enabled. I downloaded the latest version of the
compatibility plugin yesterday for the other SquirrelMail version I
have installed.

I just read your email a little better and made some progress.
When it happens. If I enter http://your-server/squirrelmail/src/
webmail.php it takes me exactly where it should go. I don't have to
log in again.
What does this mean?

Turning off that plugin didn't help.
When it happens, the right pane sends me to the "you must be logged
in" page. I have to login again to see my mail.
Disabling the html plugin didn't make a difference.
I currently trying with Apache's KeepAlive on to see if that makes a
difference.
