I noticed the latest stable version of SM has the preference that
determines the cursor focus when replying. I was wondering if someone
could lead me in the right direction to manually edit the source code of
1.4.2 to add this feature instead of doing the full upgrade to 1.4.3.

I'll take a guess at this and suggest going into your squirrel mail
display preferences and enabling java script "always" instead of
"autodetect". I had a similar problem and that worked for me.

I'm not sure I completely understand your problem. I'm a user of SM and I
don't have a problem with IE 6. I think the Refresh link in the left frame
of SM is only supposed to refresh the left frame. You may want to have a
look at the Folder Synch plugin, maybe this will settle the issues you are

Thanks! That worked, appreciate it.

Hah.. I forgot to ask my question. Where in the source can I do this and
what do I have to input to do this?

I'd like to edit the SM 1.4.2 source to add the browser's status bar to
the Compose window when the Compose window is opened in a new window.
Reason for this is so I can see that when I click Send that the browser is
actually doing something. Sometimes the email doesn't send immediately and

There is also a plugin that will delete old attachments.

are all your preferences lost? maybe you logged in differently.. is your
username exactly as you typed it before? If you previously typed it all in
lower case and now you are typing even one letter in upper case, that can
be the problem.

instructing SM to refresh the folder list pane after emptying the trash?
I'm guessing that one particular command is failing to run for whatever
reason and causing the problems I mention below. Is there a way to test
this command and prove to my webhost that there is a problem?

I'm using SM 1.4.2 with a paid web host. I installed it myself. I've been
using SM fine for several months without problems but for the past couple

I'm using SM 1.4.2 and its in Option - Folder Preferences - and next to
Sent Folder select Do Not Use Sent.

First I would read this..
http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/UnsafeImages
Then on the squirrelmail plugins page look for the unsafe image rules plugin.

Check the Options link, then Personal Information link, there is a
timezone setting there.

I installed the attachment cleanup plugin and I received this error when I
try to login to SM..
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/home/virtual/site139/fst/var/www/html/mydomain.com/plugins/cleanup/includes/attachments.php
on line 20
I'm using SM 1.4.2 with these plugins..
Yeah, I'll probably use that plugin too. Does it slow down the login
process at all? Or what if us that are paying for hosting instruct our
hosts to setup a cron job for us.. is there an easy way to tell them what
needs to be done so they understand and set it up correctly?

Anyone know where in the SM source that I can edit so that when I forward
an email the "Original Message" citation the Subject, From, Date, To

Thanks.

Thanks! That was it. I don't understand echo statements. But it looks like
maybe they start with echo and end with a semicolon. This is only my
second day with SM, but I'm liking it very much. Especially with all the
plugins available.

Can someone tell me how to edit the following code from
printer_friendly_bottom.php so that the order of the headers is..
Date
From
To (or CC if it exists)
Subject
I've tried several ways of doing it but I always get an error when I
switch To/CC with Subject.
--code--
echo ''."\n" .
