Just a related question. So, can SM do client side threading
when using server side threading is not possible? SM has no
problem sorting, but I'd like threading in some mailboxes if
possible.
If not I guess I will have to live without that for now.

The offending folder which causes the bigest problem has the
most mails (+23,000 and growing).
I had a bigger one with +60,000 files which was slow as hell
but otherwise worked fine over a filesystem. So the database
might indeed be the issue.
