The following message appears as black on dark colours in Squirrelmail.
After a message to the sender suggesting they change their colours I
realised it's something Squirrelmail is doing and appears as white on
dark in other clients:

After upgrading to 1.4.9a from 1.4.8 I get the message "Address book is
corrupted. Required fields are missing." in compose or address book
screens.
I've Googled for this message and have found nothing that helps me. Can
someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Can anyone suggest the 'best' way to include the required rel="shortcut icon" href="http://example.com/favicon.ico";
type="image/x-icon"> line inside of the tag in every SM page?
Thanks,

Just wondering if anyone has a small (16x16) Squirrelmail icon suitable
for favicon use? I've looked for one but can't see anything that small.
I can't believe someone (more skilled in such things than me) hasn't
produced one!
Thanks,
Geoff

Hi,
I'm having problems in upgrading from 1.4.6 to 1.4.7. I've recently
moved to a new server and 1.4.6 was the version I installed originally.
The installation of SM is shared between a number of domains on the
webserver. I've used symbolic links to let the various domains point at

I've recently installed Squirrelmail on two virtualised (running Plesk &
Virtuozzo) supposedly identical web servers running FC3. My problem is
that on one server there was a delay of 5-10 seconds in displaying any
pane in Squirrelmail. This same server was initially unable to resolve

Once I'd cleared up a minor problem with the configured language the
debugger is silent. I only get the "Could not move/copy file. File not
attached", nothing else.

Is there any mechanism for having the login page's username field
automatically filled in based on its URL, for example by having
squirrelmail/src/webmail.php?username=geoff ? If there isn't such a
mechanism could someone implement one?

Geoff

Would it be possible to enable src/login.php?user=username to produce the
login page with the username already populated?
Thanks,
Geoff

Is it possible to completely turn off any focusing in the compose/reply
window? One machine I use takes ages to finish loading the window for some
reason which means the onload Javascript to change the focus is executed
well after I've started typeing my message. I would rather do my own
focussing.
I'd like to be able to move a message from the compose window, I've tried
the Delete Move Next Plugin but this gives a delete next/prev option as
well. You can turn the move option off but not the delete next/prev option
which I don't want. Also, this plugin takes up quite a lot of space by

Any suggestions?

I'm planning to get a friend off of Hotmail and onto an IMAP account. Is
there any way of getting messages from the Hotmail account into the IMAP
account? It would be nice if it was as easy as possible for the user.
I'd be interested in any suggestions,
Many thanks
