pd, it cannot run in standalone mode. The only
way to improve performance is to reduce logging (or change your imap
server).

You must be running an IMAP server that distinguishes between mail
folders and directories (like uw-imap). Run conf.pl, select Folder
Options, then set ``Show 'Contain Sub.' Option'' to true.

I think this is only necessary if your IMAP and SMTP server is
different from your web server. If everything is on the same
machines, the loopback device (127.0.0.1) is used to connect to the
IMAP and SMTP servers. So encryption is not really necessary.
t has been added to SM?
uw-imap does not allow folders that contain mail and subfolders. To
allow squirrelmail to handle such a situation, run conf.pl and enable
the ``Show 'Contain Sub.' Option'' option under ``Folder Defaults''.

you that it is much more a
testament to the well organized, documented, and written squirrelmail code
(and the fact it is free software) than to my abilities. Thanks for all
the hard work.

(beside changing imap servers)?

Will
fully this email help anyone
else who might be having the same problem.
Finally, thanks to the SM developers for a great product.
