I found out it was the "weather" plugin that kept my upgrade from working.
But I'm curious, I'm trying various plugins (TWC weather, user_logo,
meteosat, squirrelspell) and it seems squirrelspell is the only one to
work. the user_logo doesn't output a proper image, the TWC weather gives
me the opti
It seems one of the plugins I was trying to enable wasn't happy. I
disabled them all, and now it works. I shall hunt down the offender.

I was trying to fix a problem where the themes and plugins would not load.
I was running SM 1.2.7, Apache 2.0.39, and PHP 4.2.3. I had already tried
changing the data directory to be absolute paths, but that did not make a
difference.
So I upgraded to SM 1.2.11, Apache 2.0.44, and PHP 4.3.
