Used SquirrelMail version?
Are you using SMTP auth in SquirrelMail configuration?
Could you connect to smtp server with telnet and test smtp session with
ehlo, mail from, rcpt to and data commands?

I've got a problem and I'm not sure if there is a fix already for it.
When I try to send emails with special characters through Squirrelmail, it
hangs. I'm not exactly sure which ones but it happens mainly when I try
to send shell scripts through email.
If needed I can narrow it down to the exac
