I am using latest stable SM version on a FBSD machine. I installed the
fetchmail plugin and find that when I use it, the number of messages is
then not updated in my Firefox browser.

FC5
Squirelmail 1.4.9a
sendmail 8.13.8
dovecot 1.0
not using any DB
I recently installed squirrelmail 1.4.9a and everything seems to be working
fine (except that sending messages tend to be slow -that is a different problem

This problem has been resolved. Xinetd is not installed by default in FC5.
Installing xinetd fixed this problem.
