I use mysql for storing preferences and addressbooks and I don't use global
addressbooks, so I can't be of much help with helping you set it up!

You have mixed setup.
You use old php-ldap rpm that came with your redhat install cd and updated
php package from 7.1 updates. I think your php ldap extension fails to
load due to version differences and you have extension loading errors in
your webserver's error log.
