I know there was some discussion aabout this a while back but I couldn't
find any patches. One of my members asked for the facility so here are
two diff files that provide the functionality. They are against SM 1.4.3a
and have only been lightly tested.
One is against personal.php under /include/

After 24 hours of searching for the answer, I finally figured it out...
upload_tmp_dir in my php.ini file wasn't set & the system didn't have any
means of identifying the value for that variable.

I installed squirrelmail 1.4.3a from the ports under FreeBSD 5.2.1. I
also installed Apache 2.0.50, php 4.3.8 and cyrus-mail from the ports -
so far so good. I configured squirrelmail before so that was no problem
either, but as soon as I opened my inbox I saw the first problems arise:

Is there any mechanism for having the login page's username field
automatically filled in based on its URL, for example by having
squirrelmail/src/webmail.php?username=geoff ? If there isn't such a
mechanism could someone implement one?
