Your suggestions were great. I solved the problem almost right after I

Very interesting. Can SM be configured to interface with Excel in this way as well? (i.e. open excel and send to recipient direct from excel instead of attaching to a mail?)

found the easy plugin to compose Kenji characters via a pop-up Javascript
window, but haven't found anything specific on how to allow for Squirrelmail

I have a slightly unusual issue where when I move messages not on the
first page of my inbox to a different folder, it doesnt always update the
page until I force a refresh.
This happens with firefox and IE6.
Any ideas ?
