Turn off Auto Expunge in Squirrelmail, from the conf.pl script.

(i searched and couldn't find a solution to this problem, so my apologies if
this has been resolved before).
if i delete a document in an imap folder in outlook express, then sync with
the imap server, then view my inbox in squirrelmail, then sync my outlook
express again, the deleted doc

You can't do this currently, but I'll add it to my todo list. If you have
message filtering enabled, you could move messages marked Yes to another
folder.
