Hi,
I forgot to mention that I added the patch too: patch -p0 <
patches/squirrelmail-1.4.2-emoticons.diff and I got this output:
patching file ../../src/compose.php

And I clicked on the "Use Emoticons" radio button under Options>Display

Yeah, that's all set up. The only real problem I had was with mailbox
folders being lost in all the listed public folders.
As an interim measure I patched folders.php with this:

Next, did you go to options - folders - folder path? I set it to "mail/"
so it does not put everything in my home directory in the subscribe
window. Before this, I'd get a php timeout as it tried to put up thousands
of public web pages.

Has anyone made a patch or modified the "Custom_From" for 1.5.0+?
At this time I've just patched the compose.php from 1.4.2 and dropped it in.
Seems to work fine but the 1.4.2 patch didn't work on the 1.5.0+ version of
compose.php.
As I might be missing features from the new version I'd like to p

I'm going to hack to
code to not list public folders as they are not needed

To reiterate, thank you. That was exactly the problem. With only 10 users it
wasn't a big deal to change all the mail boxes to the new format and help
the ones that use MS OE reset the folders.
Now I'll just find

Martin,
The problem seems to be with your IMAP server (which you neglected to
name). I recommend you direct your question to the mailing list for
your IMAP server.

Trying to get Squirrel Mail 1.4.2 to work on my OpenBSD 3.3 install.
Essentially, all of the scripts seem to be working, configuration has
taken place without much trouble.
However every attempt to login will produce the following error in the

I've installed the SquirrelMail 1.4.1 package that comes with SuSE 9.0.
Configuration seemed straightforward, and I've read everything I can
find in the FAQ and list archives about its behavior with Eudora
Internet Mail Server. It seems that some EIMS administrators have had

I'm having the same problem that many people seem to have had, but I
can't find the answer by googling as yet. So, sorry for the
repetitiveness...
I'm running Debian testing release, SM 1.5.0, xinetd 2.3.12, and UW
