Someone posted a fix to a problem a while ago which dealt with session
state issues with php 4.3.3.
Well, I used it to fix my 1.4.1 installation. and I've lost track of the
solution. I'm running 1.4.2 now and the session state problem is back.
Could I ask someone to repost the solution for me.

Please forgive this newbie type question but I just installed 1.4.1 on
RH7.1 using the tar -zxvf method. The installation puts it in
the docroot. Also under the docroot is config.php. I have no
directory /etc/squirrelmail, nor a /var/lib/squirrelmail/prefs.
Did I miss something in the documentat

My permissions are correct.
I checked out the settings and everything is in order... The data_dir is
pointing to the /var/lib/squirrelmail/prefs/ (I copied the settings from
my saved config.php.1.2).
Is there anything else I can check?

That's good feedback.
On a curious note:
- what is the total diskspace usage for all mail users?
- what is the hardware (mailserver and squirrelmail) and load on it?
- Do you have quota for your users?
- What is the limit of attachment size and does users want bigger ones?

That's not something my package would have affected. Check the location
of your data_dir in /etc/squirrelmail/config.ph

Hello Everyone,
I just upgraded my Red Hat 9 server from 1.4.0 (I think) to 1.4.2. Now my
display preferences will not change from the default values? Can anyone
point me in the right direction? Also my TWC plugin is no longer working,

I have 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 running with from what I can see similar config files.
I did not install any plugins yet for 1.4.2.
1.4.1 is working fine.
I try to login to 1.4.2 and I get a bad username/password screen every time.
I have an exchange 5.5 server as my IMAP server.

Hello, all:
RPMs have been available for some time now, but since sourceforge is a
little broken at the moment, I can't make changes to the download pages.
If you want the RPMs, you can go here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=311
They are listed under 1.4.2.

I seem to have a problem getting my user details saved. I can see a file

Hi-
My webhost is using the 1.4.1 version of squirrelmail, and there seems to
a bug in threaded view mode. Other people have written about it and the
advice is to upgrade to the next version of squirrelmail. I can't do that
because my webhost is in charge of that, and they're taking their sweet

Well it doesn't refresh the right frame message list like the INBOX does.
I guess I was looking for the combine functionality in one link (Hint:
INBOX).
Just so you know, I'm not complaining. I'm just wishing.
