I have run SM on SSL with almost no problems. On large attachments, SSL
would burp, but otherwise stuff was fine. There's an SSL login plug-in
that I now use so only the login is SSL. This encrypts the username and
password. Mail going back and forth is not encrypted. This seems fine to
me.

No. It is false. Please let us know where you read that so we can have it

This SF.
Hi people,
For our company I am looking for a mailserver and a
webmail client.
I am considering Courier-Imap as mailserver and
Squirrelmail as the webmailclient.
Now I read that Squirrelmail does not support SSL,
so secure connections are not possible. Is that true ?
Best regards,
Andy
People had just installed squirrelmail 1.4.1 and would like to place the
standard source as Arial Helvetica. Does anybody how to do it?
Thanks..

Okay, I did a search through the posts for similar errors, and did what
was mentioned. I removed the filters plugin and disabled UID support.
Now, instead of the "Bogus sequence in UID FETCH" I get "Bogus sequence
in FETCH". Other than that the error is the same. And it only affects

Hi,
We are just beginning to use squirrelmail for web based access and it
was working fine. However, nothing changed in our setup but we now get a

My apologies for taking so long to respond to this posting (From

Here's an update of the situation.
Our SquirrelMail installation still is having massive performance
problems. There's a memory leak that requires a web server res

When one enters a name in the Options/Personal Information, Full Name, that
should by default display in the From: header of a message sent from that
account, yes? Is this a default setting? Is there a way to disable that
behavior?
I ask because a hosting company I am testing has SM setup, but
I'm using version 1.4.1.
Everything works fine when I'm using English. But after changing the default
language to Korean, I can't open any mails. I get an error message
'Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mb_detect_encoding() in
/home/mails/public_html/functions/mime.php on line 339'

SquirrelMail plays quite nicely with Postfix using SMTP auth, in fact,
it's what I use on my systems.
